Rust removers are early season Instructor-lead sessions, which help sailors shake off the winter rust and get back on the water with confidence, alongside a certified instructor.  

For the first three Sunday in May 2026 we will be holding instructor-led rust remover sessions. 

• Sign up for Sunday May 3rd, from 1pm to 5pm 
• Sign up for Sunday May 10th, from 1pm to 5pm 
• Sign up for Sunday May 17th, from 1pm to 5pm 

CATAMARAN CLINIC

Maximum 3 people per training sessions, Must have your CANSail 2. 

Laser Clinics

Laser clinics will be offered throughout the summer.  There are clinics to get new sailors who have passed CanSail 1/2 acquainted with the boats and how to use them and also clinics to improve you skill level in the boats and possibly race them.

USING THE POWERBOATS

To use our powerboats, you must have BOTH a Toronto Port Authority Harbour Licence and a Pleasure Craft Operators permit. Attending an information session at Mooredale is also required.

Note: Only members who have both cards up to date can operate our powerboats.

Powerboats are ONLY for events and rescues. Powerboats are never for recreational use.

EXPERIENCED SAILORS

If you are an experienced sailor, you can join Mooredale Sailing Club and get access to the club boats. You just need to make an appointment with one of our skipper examiners. See more on the process here.
